Working at Chairo

Rebecca, Pakenham Teacher

I studied a Bachelor of Science and then went on to complete a Master of Teaching, inspired to provide early-intervention to students in lower primary and share a love of science amongst primary students. I have taught a Years 1–2 class, DigiTech and a Year 4 class in my first three years at Chairo and have found great joy in being able to share my love of science and technology with students.

I love working at Chairo because I get to see students learn in an environment where they are cared for holistically. I love being able to teach students about the world that God has made, but also about the God who has made everything, including them! I also enjoy teaching students in a variety of ways in order to pique their interests and love of learning.

I'm passionate about supporting students to become enthusiastic about learning, growing and challenging themselves to discover more about God and his world. I especially love to teach Science, demonstrating to students that the subject isn't a scary, impossible idea, but in fact a subject where we uncover the brilliance and wonder in what God has made.
