Junior School students at the Pakenham Campus were involved in a very special ‘sod turning’ event on Friday 12 May with Daniel Mulino MP, the Member for Eastern Victoria. Chairo is very grateful for a contribution of $840k from the state government for a $1.7m project to extend the library (including IT facilities) and build two new Junior School classrooms.
Campus Principal, Pete Wells, said: ‘With a large number of families moving into the local area each week, the campus has received growing requests for enrolment. A lot of families are moving to the area, sharing the same faith and values as our school. This project will allow us to welcome even more students to Chairo.’
Mr Mulino explained: ‘This is an exciting day for the Pakenham community. These upgrades will ensure staff and students at Chairo Christian School have the facilities they deserve. There is a great learning culture at Chairo and it is exciting to see work get underway on new upgrade projects for the school.’
