All Chairo teachers provide pastoral care for students. The system of class, core and homeroom teachers presenting short devotions, and opening each day in prayer, helps develop teacher/student relationships that assist with the provision of such care.
However, assisting and supporting young people through the issues they face can often be complex and time-consuming. We are blessed to have experienced, wise and compassionate Student Wellbeing Team Members who spend time with students and refer them to specialists when necessary.
Our Student Wellbeing Team Members are committed to supporting students who are struggling with life-issues. They are available to students—no matter what their beliefs—to talk confidentially and non-judgmentally about any difficulties or stresses that they are experiencing.
They aim to bring the love of God into the lives of students in a meaningful, comforting and encouraging way. They provide a listening ear and words of comfort when needed and offer support, direction and referral advice to students and families when appropriate.
